Lattitude Fiji

I am in my last year of Lincoln High School, and wish to go on to study Journalism at University. I have been accepted into an organization called Lattitude Global Volunteering. Lattitude is a non-profit organization that has been running for 40 years, and helps young people, like me, to go on GAP years and do voluntary work around the world. Next year I will be going to Fiji for 7 months to work as a teacher aide in a school. During this time I will live with a Fijian host family and work voluntarily in the local school. I feel very privileged to have an opportunity that is both unique and challenging, and I know it’s going to be an amazing experience! I am in the process of fundraising before I leave in January; I need to raise around $7000 to cover my costs of my time in Fiji. This includes flights, medicals, training, insurance, orientation in Fiji and support whilst I am overseas. As part of my fundraising, my family and I are holding a Quiz Night and a Garden Tour, as well as utilizing some of my own savings.
