Lincoln Rennie

In mid-late December 2019, my 2 year-old nephew, Lincoln Tiniwaata Vincent Rennie, was diagnosed with cancer. This meant the removal of one of his kidneys over the Christmas period and a harsh cycle of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Recently, his health has trended downwards and he has been hospitalised a number of times within the last few weeks. With the current restrictions in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Lincoln's immuno-compromised status, the whānau are struggling being based in Sydney as supplies are low and contact with others is severely limited. This includes the distancing of their youngest son, Locky, who is being cared for by other whānau members as their parents, Kadison and Reubenn, focus on Lincoln's health battles. Furthermore, with restrictions being imposed upon their employers because of the pandemic, the whānau income has essentially stalled and there are no guarantees as to when this will be rectified.

This page has been established to help our whānau who are in a dire situation. Kua tau mai te whakamā ki runga i a rātou. They are struggling to ask for help given that they don't want to burden others, especially as the world endures these difficult times. All donations will be sent to the whānau to assist with bills and debt which have arisen as a result of Lincoln's sickness and the pressure that the pandemic has added to the family's affairs. It will also be used to provide the essentials for the whānau who are feeling quite isolated at this time.

We thank those who have already helped our whānau whether that be babysitting, cooking meals or paying for our whānau to survive. We also extend gratitude, in advance, to all of those who will donate to this cause. Aroha nui atu!
