Lisemarie has spent her life fundraising for Children's Charities. With a terminal diagnosis she now has a special wish
Auckland
Lisemarie Aoese is one very brave 30 year old young lady. One of 6 children Lisemarie first came to New Zealand, from Samoa as a one year old.
After leaving school , Lisemarie fully intended to go to University however, found she had a real passion for working for the special needs of disadvantaged children.
What started off as a part time holiday job at Southern Stars Children’s Charity, became a fervent pursuit to do all she could to make a difference in children’s lives. Lisemarie’s passion was realised when she won the top sales award in her work for Southern Stars, year after year.
For 8 years Lisemarie worked for this fabulous Charity as a Fundraiser, before she herself became ill. In Jan 2013 Lisemarie was diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma, and now nearly 3 years later, she has end stage kidney failure and very little time left.
Lisemarie contacted our charity, Race 4 Life, with a very special request. Race 4 Life is a new Not for Profit Organisation that fulfils the wishes of Palliative Care Patients.
Lisemarie’s special wish is to have her body taken back to her place of birth, Apia, and to have a Fale built in her memory, to celebrate her life in a traditional Samoan way.
Lisemarie has spent her life making huge differences in the lives of disadvantaged children and their families. Now she needs a little help. This page is set up to do just that.
Race 4 Life Trust is a not for profit organisation, that fulfills the wishes of Palliative Care Patients. We were approached by Lisemarie with this special request. We have agreed to support Lisemarie through this fundraising and to be her advocate
