An opportunity to expand skill sets on an international stage but most importantly an opportunity to give back. Thank you for your support!

Talofa lava, my name is Litara Allan and I have recently been selected among nine other students across New Zealand to attend a UN Youth trip named the Pacific Project taking place in July this year.
This 2-3 week trip consists of the week long attendance to the prestigious annual Australian National conference held in Perth with the focus on seminars, workshops, presentations, debates around the theme of engaging and facilitating the “Innovation Revolution”. This is followed by the practical engagement of ideas in the Pacific context with cultural exchanges and development work with local village schools and villages in Vanuatu.
As Head Girl of Hamilton Girls’ High School, a large, urban and multicultural school, I have been privileged to lead and foster leadership opportunities for members in my school and pacific community, advocating particularly for those facing hardships in all respects. The Pacific Project focuses on what it means for changing world for New Zealand and Pacific citizens. It focuses at building leaders with keen global citizen responsibilities. For me personally, attending the Pacific Project is firstly an opportunity to appreciate and critically analyse the similarities and differences between our lives across countries, but more importantly to engage in how innovation can help us responsibly engage in the region.
While this is an amazing opportunity and I am overwhelmingly grateful to have been selected, I am seeking support in order to actually get there as the total cost of the trip is $5200. Whatever the amount, thank you thank you for the support!!
The funds raised will cover flights, transfers, travel insurance, accommodation, food, and registration fees.
