Community work to help develop sporting provisions for a school in Kenya
Auckland
On June 22nd, a group of 12 boys will travel to Kenya for a three week running training camp. The boys will be based in Iten, a small village 2400m above sea level where some of the best runners in the world live and train.
During their stay in Iten, the boys will also get the opportunity to engage in community work and one of the projects they are keen to get involved with is helping Abel Kirui (World Double Marathon Champion) to develop Sports provisions for his school the "Little Joy Academy.
Abel set up the school in the community and is funding it. Your contribution will go towards buying sports gear and sports uniform for the boys to donate to Abel and the "Little Joy Academy".
Westlake Boys High School is a state secondary school for boys located in Forrest Hill, Auckland, New Zealand. The school opened in 1962.
