Larry, is more than a pet — he’s family. He urgently needs surgery to walk and play again. Any support would mean the world.

💔 Please Help Save Our Little Larry 💔
Our beautiful boy Larry — our tan, short-haired dachshund — is only 5 years old and such an important part of our family: Byron, Liv, Connor, the twins Lexi and Leah, and me, Deb. He’s the most lovable, loyal, playful, and good-natured little dog you could ever meet. He’s my constant companion, always at my side — until suddenly, he wasn’t.
On Friday the 24th, Larry fell ill out of nowhere. That morning, he didn’t come through with me like he always does. When I got home later, his happy little face wasn’t at the door waiting for me, and my heart sank. Since then, he’s been struggling to move, and it’s been absolutely heartbreaking to see our bright, active boy in pain.
Right now, Larry is being cared for at home and on medication, but there’s been no improvement. The vets believe surgery is likely his only chance — a big operation that could give him back his mobility and his spark. The estimated cost is around $14,000, which is more than we can manage on our own.
We love Larry so much. Our home feels empty without his little paws padding around and his tail wagging. If you can help us in any way — no matter how small — it would mean the world to us and give Larry the chance to live the happy, full life he deserves.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,
Deb (and Byron, Liv, Connor, Lexi, and Leah) 💕
Larry isn’t just our dog — he’s my constant companion, my shadow, and the heart of our family. Seeing him in pain breaks me, and I will do everything I can to help him heal.
All donations will go towards paying for the surgery Larry will likely require.
Wait and Rest 10 November 2025
Hi Everyone!
A big thank you to those who have donated. We have reached $500 and are still aiming to reach our goal.
Currently Larry is at home on strict crate rest, anti inflammatory and pain medication. The next step is to do an MRI.
Some positive signs that he will be a candidate for the surgery are that he still has some muscle tone in his legs, it is weak, but still there. His tail is also no longer drooping but has a slight lift at the base.
He still does not have control of bladder and bowel, but the inside processes are all still working and with help he is able to pass urine and number twos.
Please share this Givealittle Page where you can!
Many thanks,
Deb
