Little Reuben is fighting Leukaemia.

  • The Month of June was a good month for Reuben.

    Reuben got good news from his tests - he was in remission. So he has a month from treatment which has been a blessing for Reuben. He has been able to eat and have a bit of fun - instead of feeling sick and tests, procedures etc.

    Reuben's dog took sick and had to be put down which brought a lot of sadness to the family. But last weekend - a very generous person gave The Davis Family a new dog. The dog, Monty, has brought great happiness to them all. Reuben has something to cuddle when he is feeling not so well.

    Picture of Reuben with his dog. Thank you all so much for your extreme generosity and good wishes for the Davis Family. Further updates will be given on how Reuben is getting on with his next round of treatment. He started it two days ago and will now undergo more therapy for the next 63 days.

  • 4 Months of Chemotherapy.

    Reuben has been constantly in an out of Starship Hospital, Auckland. He has had over 130 procedures performed on him - from bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, chemotherapy, blood transfusions. blood tests, injections etc.

    This week - the parents Gwen and Robin are waiting to hear the results of Reuben's recent tests- which will show if the treatment is working.

    Naturally - a very anxious time for the whole family. Our thought and prayers are with them all.

  • New update on Reuebn

    Reuben had an extremely difficult time in the month of February! Between Chemotherapy, Blood Transfusions and Infections!!

    March has been a better time for him! Please let this continue! Reuben has started a new chemo drug and this is a 28 day cycle treatment. By next week he will have another bone marrow biopsy to see if the treatment is working! Very anxious time for the family. At present, Reuben is doing well! Looks a great colour and has actually put on a few kgs in weight. Fantastic to see.

    Thank you to everyone concerned for all your donations. The Davis family are extremely grateful.

    Thank you all so much who have generously donated to Reuben who is fighting Leukaemia. Reuben is having another bone marrow biopsy today followed by another session of Chemotherapy. The poor wee mite has also developed a steroid induced diabetes -which means he has insulin injections three times a day. Reuben has an absolute fear of needles so this is just so hard on him.Reuben has also started to loose his hair in handfuls which is very distressing for all the family. For the family - it is just one day at a time. Just want to thank you all so much - parents are so grateful. XX
