Little Angels is an Orphanage in Uganda. They URGENTLY need help to buy new land for their school as their current location is too unsafe.
Nationwide
Their project takes in orphans as well as children whose families can’t afford to feed them, and provides them with food and schooling. Little angels started in 2011 with 24 kids and has now grown to 285.
The place is run by Duncan, who was sponsored as a child and has decided to pay it forward starting the project for needy children and orphans.
The project has started well, however their government has told them they need to move to a new location as where they are now (on the steep, muddy banks of a lake) is not safe.
They have found a suitable location nearby, however don't have the funds for the land, and are running out of time.
Please help these guys and these wonderful kids so we can get them a safe place for their school - any amount you can donate will help!
If you are like us, giving money to charities (especially ones overseas) is difficult as you don’t really know where the money is going or how much is actually being used for the problem at hand. Little Angels does what they can to try help with this by being transparent with donations and showing exactly where the money goes.
They have provided us with a detailed breakdown for their current situation. We are hoping to help them with buying their land and ideally helping as much towards building the new school as possible.
The land is going to cost them $44,617 NZD
The estimate for building the new school will cost them $147,413 NZD
On a recent visit to Uganda we were invited to the Little Angels school at their current site. We slid and slipped as we walked around the area on the banks of the lake. We sat in their classrooms with the kids, who all stole our hearts with their positive attitudes and bright smiles.
As we sat in the classrooms it began to rain. We then noticed there were no windows, as the kids held up paper and turned their heads to shield the rain.
We have seen first hand, their location is not safe for these young kids and the school is not suitable.
Please help them relocate to a safer area.
