Live to serve - A little kindness goes a long way.
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
We live in this gorgeous country far from a lot of nuisances of the in-development countries, we always take for granted the shower, the morning coffee or tea, lunch, and dinner. Whether good or bad, we have many comforts that some parts of the world do not have. I come from a country in South America where basic facilities, like drinking water, are still unavailable. That’s why I am asking you to help me to help others.
This is my story and why I am asking you to help me.
I have been living in NZ for more or less 10 years and I feel so grateful and bless to had chosen this country as my home. At the same time, I can’t close my eyes and ignore the hardship that many elderly people in Colombia live in. This month is my birthday, and I would love for you to consider that the $7 you might spend on a coffee can make a big difference for an older adult in Colombia. (It can buy a simple lunch — a ‘corrientazo’).
Many of these people have no family and no government support. Despite being over 65 years old, they receive no assistance and live in very poor conditions. Every day, I feel grateful for my morning coffee and my bed at night. I hope you feel grateful for those things too, and that you might be able to contribute a little to help others who are not as fortunate as we are.
Thank you so much! At the end of the fundraiser, the funds will be donated to Richard, a kind soul who puts his heart into caring for elderly people who lack many basic necessities
Funds raised will go towards purchasing food and clothes.
