Living With Scrotal Lymphoedema

  • GOOD NEWS!

      28 October 2023

It's taken a while but I've managed to get under 180kg, which is where I need to be in order to get another referral for plastic surgery and that looks like? I'm unsure at this stage, as I have an appointment with my GP in a couple weeks ring so I'll be able to tell you more as it happens.

Things are on the up, it hasn't been easy and there is still a lot of work to do. I appreciate you all f

  • **UPDATE**

      27 September 2023

    27 September 2023

It's coming up to one year since I posted this give a little, there have been many ups and downs, the weight loss being the biggest down I've had.

Another major down is that people have reached out to me directly and given me money because they don't want their donations going to the Cancer Society, which I totally understand; I chose them because my mother is a cancer survivor. So if G.A.L (GIVE A LITTLE) will let me, I'd like to use the money that is raised to help fund my operation instead of giving it away, this is what a lot of people had an issue with, and for that, I apologise.

I am happy with the almost 20kg loss in the 9 months since posting here, there is still a fair way to go before I can get another referral for plastic surgery.

I just want to say lastly that your donations are very generous and appreciated, I honestly cannot put into words how thankful I am.

It's an extremely rare condition and I am still in the dark about how I got it.

  • The Story So Far...

      21 August 2023

At this point in the journey to get my weight down to 180kg for a plastic surgery, I'm currently down to 190kg from 210kg.

I'm limited in what I can to physically, but my my diet and my moderate exercise had helped a lot.

Thank you to everyone who has donated🥰
