Alana’s scootering journey has been vital - not just for fun, fitness, development, and inspiring others, but has also been hugely about well-being. When her best friend Jacob died suddenly in 2021, she threw herself into her new-found passion, spending up to eight hours a day at the Waikanae scooter park. Alana really is living life to the full, putting 100% into everything she’s does. For that we are super proud of her journey and transformation. Alana is heading to Sydney in October for the international scooter federation world champs. Funds raised will go towards costs for this trip; flights, accommodation and competition entry fees and future national and the same costs for international competitions. She was invited to compete in the 2023 Madrid World skate games, which she did not attend this time due to cost but there is always next year to aim for! And she will be practicing up a storm to make this dream a reality.
