Luca was able to come off the ventilator and wake up a few days ago. But unfortunately she has declined quickly and has picked up yet another nasty bug which they are treating her for. She remains on a very high amount of oxygen support, medication and is all puffy swollen and mainly asleep still. 🥹😔
Luca has had a relatively good year this year until now. January she underwent cranial facial reconstruction which she recovered well from. We have had a good 5 months at home with many appointments and follow ups each week. Unfortunately a few weeks ago she got very very sick and rushed up to Starship Hospital where she was in an induced coma for 2 weeks and on life supports to give her body a break. She needed CPR several times even of full life supports and we were so close to loosing her. There was nothing the Drs could do expect wait and see. Thankfully and by a miracle she’s recovering but still in PICU at starship.
With Weston and home and me being in my third trimester of pregnancy this has been such a tough juggle. Thank you for any additional support xx
