World Down Syndrome Day is on 21st March - we will be celebrating here at Bright Beginnings Montessori on TUESDAY 24TH MARCH.

It's a time to wear your boldest, brightest and most eye-catching socks for the Lots of Socks campaign.

This year the theme is Together Against Loneliness. Many people with Down syndrome experience loneliness every day - feeling disconnected, left out and like they don't belong. Wearing your socks is a simple but powerful way to show that you stand with them.

Use of funds

World Down Syndrome Day. Funds will be donated to the NZ Down Syndrome association.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
