Lotsa Laura

Laura is my friend, my sidekick and my ray of sunshine. Laura has been struggling with her weight for years and has been trying desperately to get her weight down to help her love life again. You name it, she has tried it. Weight watchers, walking, food famines. Some of us need a ‘leg up’ and I want to give that to dear Laura. I’m on a mission to help her save up for gastric bypass surgery and on the hunt for big hearts just like Laura that are willing to spare a penny or two to get her there. You see the thing is, Laura has given so much to the community that I feel it is her turn. Her time to be the receiver as she is always the giver.

Laura is a friend so dear,

Whose laughter brings us all good cheer.

With jokes and wit, she fills our days,

And brightens up life's weary ways.

But deep inside, she bears a weight,

A struggle that she can't abate.

She needs a surgery to heal,

But the cost is more than she can deal.

We want to help this kind soul,

Whose heart is pure, whose spirit bold.

She wants to love herself again,

And live a life free from pain.

She dreams of fun with her daughter,

Of marriage and a life that's brighter.

But first, she needs the surgery,

To give her body back its energy.
