To help Louise find a stable and permanent home to live in after care has ended.
Wellington
Louise (Mum) has been happily living the gypsy life in her self contained Motorhome with her little dog Ripley (believe it or not) for the past 5 years, travelling NZ and having lots of fun adventures.
On Tuesday June 25th, whilst out walking her dog with a friend, Lou was hit by a 4x4 Land Rover that crossed over the centre line hit some gravel and slid into the side of her which shattered her pelvis and right hip into 8 pieces, broke her right ankle along with many other more minor injuries.
Recovery back to a normal happy life of independence and taking care of herself is a long way off. Currently Lou need's the help of 3 people to get up out of bed then into a Suzy Steady, then a Wheel chair ect. Learning to walk again will be very slow process possibly 2yrs + before unaided and accommodating the likelihood of chronic pain and predicted future arthritis
The likelihood of Lou returning to her life in the Motorhome is non existent. We are hoping to help raise money to help her family support her return to a permanent home and normal life.
To help Louise and her family pay for daily living costs and ongoing treatments (uncovered by ACC)
We are hoping to raise enough money to help Louise with a small deposit into her own home, where she can settle and move out of her Motorhome.
