If you are going to be up in AK, it would be great for Louis to have visitors! (Check out the website above for more information).
Louis is having ups and downs, but has had a tour of the Unit, and a slight workout this morning which has helped his frame of mind.
The picture shows him sitting up by himself! :)
Few and small steps and with aid for now, but Louis is walking! Great progress! Thanks to all the people supporting!
What an awesome picture...so good to see you up and about. Best thing I have seen today!
Yayy well done Louis thinking of you constantly can't wait to see you back with the boys.
From Louis' Dad Pete:
Louis has had a solid brekkie this morning of toast and a wheatbix. He thought it was his best feed ever after a whole week of liquid!
Hopefully this will give him some energy as they are talking about getting him up to take a few steps - We're winning!
Louis is seeing his pain specialist tomorrow to work out the correct 'cocktail' and there is talk of moving him to the rehab centre next week.

Doctors are talking about getting him up to take a few steps - great stuff! Louis' pain specialist is seeing him tomorrow, and he will likely be moved to the rehab centre next week.

Thanks you again to all the amazing supporters!
Louis went in to surgery just after 9am on the 29th of June. He will recuperate at Middlemore and then will be transferred to the Auckland Spinal Unit for rehabilitation - at this stage 6 to 8 weeks. His operation involved the fusing of his C4&5 and this has enabled the removal of the Halo brace, replacing with a cervical collar.
Louis is in good spirits and enjoyed his TBC visitors.
The New Zealand Rugby Foundation are involved in supporting Louis and his family which is great!
Thank you again to all the people's amazing support and donations. :)
