Denzil, my sister’s 2 year old rescue dog needs life saving, urgent surgery at Christmas.
Auckland
Those that know my sister, Harriet, would tell you she is incredibly compassionate, empathetic and that she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She has dedicated herself to helping others and serving her community.
Now she needs our help.
Her best mate and family member, Denzil, her 2 year old rescue dog, needs life saving, urgent surgery. This surgery is likely to happen Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Denzil is fit, happy and healthy after a rough start to life. He is the sweetest, goofiest, most gentle dog and he and Harriet adore each other.
Over the last few days he has developed an aggressive growth/swelling that is impacting his airway and carotid artery and if left, it will kill him and quickly. He has been struggling with high fevers for a few days now and Vet bills are going through the roof. Harriet’s pet insurance has only covered the first $2500. Likely total cost is $10000.
He’s a family member, he deserves a long and happy life, and it’s Christmas.
Can you help?

Denzil's recovery! 28 December 2020
Hi amazing friends!
Just to let you know Denzil has had his surgery and is home from hospital. He is apparently becoming his old, silly self again. He has a drain in and a big wound site so needs to keep quiet and heal for a while but is improving rapidly. Harriet is incredibly relieved and happy.
THANK YOU for all your incredibly generous donations, your generosity completely blew our minds. Thanks to you all, Denzil has been able to have a successful surgery. Thank you all SO much. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. You gave Harriet the one Christmas gift she really needed so thank you. We hope you have a relaxing break and for those of you overseas, stay safe and healthy, we're thinking of you xxxx
