Koha aroha ki te whānau o Neville Thomson - Tragically taken in a dog attack in Panguru
Hokianga Harbour, Northland
On Thursday, August 4 a pack of six dogs was involved in the attack on our uncle Neville Thomson, he was 69 years old and was found at his home in Panguru, Hokianga, Northland.

Our whānau are absolutely grief stricken yet again having already lost our Kuia, as well as Neville's father to dementia within the last six weeks.
Any offer of support to assist Nevilles whānau with his funeral expenses will be hugely appreciated with love.
Neville's eldest son, Te Ahu Thomson, told 1News a friend had been staying with his father and claims the friend had about 19 dogs, some of which were aggressive.
Te Ahu said his father had owned dogs all of his life and his two current dogs were kept in the house to keep them away from his friend’s dogs.
He described his father as "an awesome member of the community" and said "everyone loved him".
Thomson’s son said his father’s death is a “tragedy” and he wants people to know he wasn’t attacked by his own dogs.
Nataria is Nevilles eldest daughter who is my first cousin.

Family Man - Thank YOU 15 August 2022
Kia Ora whanau and friends. Thank you all so deeply for your kind donations thus far. It means a lot to our family. Our battle a head is not over. We have many hurdles to cross until we can finally stop and grieve the tragic passing of our dad. Along the road to here we've also had to tell our story and reflect who our dad really was during his time on Earth. Here is an interview I did with the Northern Advocate/ NZ Herald.
