Liam is six years young. He is my warrior I'm Monique Reading and I'm here to serve him, represent him and be his honorable Aunty . Liam has a bother to battle he has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 . This is a genetic disease and is here to stay . SMA involves the loss of nerve cells called motor neurons in the spinal cord . So this leads to progressive muscle waste which also affects the respiratory muscles . Liam is in a wheely chair , at night he has a vpac (breathing machine) to keep the lungs open . Another machine that serves him is a cough assist pulls out coughs, he offered me ago on it and instructed me how to use it, I had to tell him I was to scared too his response "it's ok Aunty I'll show you how to do it, "awh so brave" . Ricky & Stacey are the proud parents of Liam and have guided Liam through sum really dreadful times keeping themselves emotionally together for Liam and 3 year old Katherine, Liam's sister and loyal legs to gather whatever Liam instructs her to get . With a little kindness a little giving your donations can make for a better battle in unexpected emergencies ie. Hopitalizations, equipment supplements and maybe sum funtimes for positive memories .
