    Hi all

Luna had her stitches out on Wednesday. :) The vet is very happy with her progress. She is able to be a lot more active now too which is great. :)

    Thanks everyone.

  • Luna - One Week On

      8 May 2018

    Hi everyone

Well it's been a tiring few nights with this girl! She hated the cage so much! She basically was acting like a caged animal, pacing up and down and who can blame her?! We ended up letting her out after a couple of nights and making a bed up on the floor so she could snuggle up with family. She was so much happier!

We took the Elizabethan collar off a couple of days later and she hasn't bothered to nibble at the stitches which is a relief!

Every day we see more progress but crikey she keeps us on our toes. The pain killers don't seem to have slowed her down so she needs constant supervision.

Anyway stitches out next week so she should have a bit more freedom then too.

    Thanks everyone. xx

  • Operation Successful!

      2 May 2018

    Hi again everyone

Just got a call from the vet to say Luna's op went well. The ligament was completely torn as expected but the bone and everything else around the leg is healthy.

Luna will be monitored over night and we should be able to pick her up in the morning.

    .

We will post pics and another update tomorrow.

    Cheers

    Ruth

  • Luna's Operation

      30 April 2018

    Hi everyone,

Phillip, Luna and I can't express enough how grateful we are for all your support! Family, friends, strangers...you have all come together to help in our time of need.

Luna is booked in for her surgery on Wednesday, 2nd May. We are dropping her off to vet surgeon David McCormick at Manukau Vet Clinic at 9am and will pick her up the following day.

David has kindly said we can pay half the surgery up front and the other half the following month, which we are also extremely grateful for.

Luna's recovery will take 6 weeks in which time she will most likely need to be caged. :(

We will keep you informed of her progress.

    Lots of love

    Ruth, Phillip and Luna. xx
