Back a 14-year-old future pilot as he works toward earning his licence and taking flight by age 16.
Whangarei, Northland
My name is Lucia, and I’m a proud mum to my son Luca, who is 14 years old and already knows exactly what he wants to do with his life.
He wants to become a pilot.
This isn’t just a passing idea. It’s something he talks about, studies, and thinks about every single day. Luca has set his sights firmly on the sky.
He has set himself a bold goal: to earn his pilot licence on his 16th birthday, 14 December 2027, before he even holds his driver’s licence.
Luca is currently training with his flight instructor, Neil Foreman, at the Whangārei Flying Club.
To reach this goal, he needs consistent flight training, weekly flying hours, and the required registrations and certifications. I am doing everything I can to support him, but the reality is that flight training is expensive and difficult to sustain alone.
This is why I’m reaching out, not for a handout, but to invite you to be part of Luca’s journey.
Every contribution will go directly toward his training, licensing, and aviation costs.
We will share updates and milestones along the way so you can see his progress.
Thank you for being part of Luca’s story. You are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the day he earns his pilot licence.
