Wellington
Luke , our beautiful, outgoing and fun loving son was involved in a serious bike accident which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Initially because of the seriousness of the injury we were uncertain if he was going to pull through.
He’s still here and it’s going to be a long road and journey to recovery.
He is a fighter and we are standing behind and with him, the hard days are no doubt to come.
if anyone one would like to give a little to help with Luke’s journey of recovery it would be gratefully received.
Basic living costs (family), petrol, Luke’s needs and resources.
Busy Buzz 24 December 2019
Luke (Buzz) is now at abi, his days are filled with lots of sleep, physio, occupational therapy and heaps of love. He still has his cheeky smile! He tires easily and needs a lot of sleep. He is not making any sounds or talking yet but that will come with time. He is listening during physio and put the hook on the hoist and even put his sunglasses on himself, which is a massive effort and feat. When i saw the discharge summary of his injuries and the severity it hit home how lucky we are to still have Luke, and in the words of the doctor “he is too good”, he is an amazing young man who with the support of abi, family and friends will come through this and be stronger. Hug your loved ones that much tighter, hold them that little bit longer, kiss them a wee bit harder and tell them just how much you love them, it’s what I did the Sunday a day before the accident and what I have done everyday since and I’m so glad I did. Merry Christmas and thank you for your supportXx
