Luke Brady rowing for New Zealand at the World Junior Champs in Lithuania.

Nelson / Tasman

My name is Luke Brady, I’m 17 years old and have recently been named in the New Zealand Junior Mens Quad to compete at the Junior World Rowing Champs in Trakai, Lithuania in August 2017.

For the last four years I’ve rowed for Nelson Rowing Club and Nelson College and thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the sport. I set myself the goal to make Juniors when I first started rowing at the age of 14. For the past six months I have trained out of the Nelson Rowing Club - on water, on the ergs and at the gym. I will relocate with the rest of the team to Lake Karapiro, Cambridge for eight weeks training before we leave for Trakai, Lithuania on 23rd July.

The cost to represent New Zealand is $9700 and covers accommodation, transport and food both while training and overseas. Any donation of any size is truly appreciated.

Use of funds

Thank you for reading my page and supporting me. I’ll be proud to wear the silver fern and represent my family, College and Club.
