Luke's Incredible Football Opportunity

⚽ From local pitches to an international stage — Luke has been given a chance to show his talent to the world!

Our son Luke has played football since he was four and currently plays for Olympic Football Club. During a Rongotai BEST Academy training session, he was selected by the Wynton Rufer Soccer School of Excellence (WYNRS) https://www.wynrs.co.nz/ to join an Under-13 representative team, chosen from players across New Zealand, to compete in the Shenyang Peace Cup International Juvenile Football Tournament in China this August. Luke is one of only two players from Wellington chosen — a huge honour and recognition of his dedication and skill.

This tournament brings together teams from around the world and is an amazing opportunity for Luke to grow as a player, gain international experience, and challenge himself at a higher level. He accepted the opportunity immediately and feels privileged to be selected.

The trip costs $6,000, covering flights from Auckland to China, accommodation, tournament fees, and team logistics. Luke is contributing by paying for his own flights from Wellington to Auckland, and as a family we are also contributing financially.
