Luna’s IVDD Surgery (Has since passed away)

.Update on Luna for you 🤎…

Due to the surgery costs being $14,000-$20,000 it will not be going ahead. Also due to her now having only a 50/50 chance of recovery. In just the 4 days since it’s happened the vet bills have stacked up to around $2,000 already. Luna is back at home now for the week with me and we’re seeing if she can improve in anyway such as getting her nerves stimulated & some movement in her legs. She’s currently able to control her bladder and pee and poo outside as normal with just some help of holding her bum and legs up off the ground. Sadly the pressure of her disc is killing her spinal tissue fast but she’s on a lot of medication like fentanyl and oxy so she’s not in any pain. As much as I hate to say/write this; if there is no improvement…the vet will euthanize her at the end of the week. Otherwise she will be suffering, and no dog deserves that. It’s been difficult to process everything. Life really can change in the blink of an eye. I’m praying to everything and anything that she will somehow improve, even a little bit.
