Please help Lynfield College Robotics team get to the VEX Robotics World Championships in Texas, USA!
Lynfield, Auckland
Lynfield College Robotics Team 2915E has spent the past year designing, building, and programming their robots for the 2024-2025 National Championships, dedicating countless hours after school, at scrimmages, and even during holidays to perfect them.
In February 2025, Team 2915E competed against 70+ NZ teams at the VEX Robotics National Championships, securing back-to-back titles! Now, they have the incredible chance to represent New Zealand at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in Texas, May 6-8th.
But they need your help. Your support will cover travel and competition costs, bringing them closer to the world stage. Every contribution counts. Thank you for being part of their journey!
VEX Robotics NZ is one of the biggest STEM competitions, helping shape the country's future engineers and technologists.

Team 2915E consists of four Year 12 students: Sohail (design & building), Harry (coding & driver), Rio (former driver, now coach), and Markus (records & competition management). Formed in 2023, Rio and Markus were part of the Waikōwhai Intermediate robotics team, winning the Judges' Award at the 2020 VEX IQ Nationals. Upon entering high school, their talents, combined with brilliant Sohail’s design and exceptional Harry’s coding, created a strong, high-performing team. Without an adult supervisor, they independently strategize, make decisions, and compete, each contributing their unique strengths.
The donations we receive will be used for the competition entry fee, travel expenses, and accommodation. Even if we don’t reach our target, we will add our own funds to the donations received and participate in the competition.
Just a little more to go until we reach our goal! 11 April 2025
We continue to receive so many generous donations and encouraging messages, and we truly cannot thank you enough.
There are now less than three weeks to go until our departure! We're nearly reaching our goal!
We would like to thank Chris Keall for writing our article for NewZealand Herald.
Our robotics teacher, Craig Yearbury, was interviewed by Lisa Owen on RNZ.
On Sunday, April 13, we’ll be holding a sausage sizzle at New World Green Bay from 11am to 4pm.
And on ANZAC Day, we’ll be at New Lynn Bunnings from 1pm, hosting both a sausage sizzle and a bake sale.
We’d love to see you there if you’re able to come by!
