Mackersy Property is walking/running a local trail for 12 hours to raise money for those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Hawke's Bay
Friday 24 March will see Mackersy Property staff, families and other invited participants walk or run for 12 hours to close the 1,640km between Queenstown and Gisborne to raise money for those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in Hawke's Bay and Gisborne.
All funds raised will be donated to the Mayoral Relief Funds in Gisborne and Hawke's Bay however we are currently unsure on how the funds will be split between the 2. We will update the donors to let them know once it has been passed on to the Mayoral funds
We'd love for you to get involved! Either join us on the trail in Arrowtown, Christchurch or Mt Maunganui, come along and visit the base, or donate right here on Givealittle.
The Grunt for Gabrielle will take place from 10.00am until 10.00pm on Friday 24 March.
Mackersy Property has tenants and assets in the local communities affected by the cyclone so we want to do what we can to help them rebuild.
All funds raised will be donated to the Mayoral Relief Funds in Gisborne and Hawke's Bay.
We did it! 28 March 2023
On Friday 24th March, the Mackersy Property team set out to raise funds for the Mayoral Relief Funds in Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Hawke's Bay with the Grunt for Gabrielle. This unique 12-hour endurance event took place in Arrowtown, Mt Maunganui & Christchurch.
The target was to raise as much money as possible, while combining our kilometres to attempt to cover the 1,640km gap between Queenstown and Gisborne.
We are thrilled to advise that we all survived the Grunt, completing 2,031.3km in 12 hours across the three locations, and so far, the fundraising efforts have topped $26,000! Below you'll see some photos of how we got on.
Thank you to those that donated, and the investors and local businesses that supported this cause by donating or joining us for a lap or a few. It was great to have you as part of our adventure!
Please help us make a real impact and show your support. We are still taking donations until midnight this Saturday 1 April.
