Maeve's Outward Bound Course

This year I have made the decision to enrol in a life-changing Outward Bound course.

Outward Bound is an outdoor education program in the South Island that provides students with opportunities to grow and better themselves and their lives.

I have enrolled in a 21-day course, located in Anakiwa. Each day I will complete activities that push me physically, mentally and emotionally, helping me come away from my course a more resilient person.

Last year I developed some terrible habits through trying to cope with life. I want to change these habits and know that doing the three week course will help me along my way.

After I've done outward bound I want to continue to use the skills and strength I'll gain there to contribute to my communities, which include the arts community, teaching community, my uni and work community and wider society.
