On the 10th of May 2024, my wife and I faced the devastating loss of our son, who was born prematurely, due to what doctors could only describe as a "one in a million tragedy" .

Mason was prematurely born sleeping, at 21 weeks, weighing just 400 grams and measuring a little over 30cm.

He was tiny, perfect and ours. Unfortunately there comes a time when you must say goodbye to that physical side of a wee one. When faced with this situation, all you can think of is having every memorable item you can get to honor that precious little soul.

We also know that unfortunately this happens, and has happened, to far too many New Zealanders each and every day.

Here's where Magical Memories - Huggable Pillows comes into reality. (with your support!)

We want to start a business that offers small pillows made to the exact weight and size of a newborn. These will be Hand-Made with Wheat or another weighted material, to allow for allergies and individual choice.

Memory Bears, made from a piece of clothing or fabric that a child has worn is also something we would LOVE to be able to offer. Pics incoming!
