Makaio's Journey

Beautiful baby boy Makaio (Batman) is just one week old and has a major heart defect. Makaio was diagnosed with a double inlet left ventricle, transposition of great arteries and an interrupted aortic arch. His defects are very rare and complex and require 3 open heart surgeries.

Makaio is currently in paediatric intensive care after having his first open heart surgery at only 3 days old and is living up to his nickname Batman by showing us that he's a strong fighter. Makaio is due for his next surgery when he is 5 months old and will also have a third surgery when he is 4 years old.

This journey is going to be extremely difficult for Makaio's parents, Jaysen and Casey. Jase and Case are two very amazing and kind-hearted people who always do good for others. By supporting Case and Jase we are helping to ensure that they are both able to focus on being with Makaio during this very hard time. So lets get behind them, and show lots of love and support to two incredible parents and their little Batman.
