After 2 decades of chronic illness I have a chance at recovery but it’s expensive. If you can donate or share this page that would be truly amazing :)

The story:

I’ve never been so open with this before and it feels pretty vulnerable. When I was 12 I had pneumonia. I was in ICU for 3 weeks, some in an induced coma. Once I woke at midnight and realised I could die soon, so I ate all my sweets, promptly threw it all up and then slept feeling a 12 yr olds satisfaction at a job well done. I died. It was a miracle I survived, like, legit. I slowly began eating and talking again, relearned how to walk.

For the next 20 years I was chronically ill; pumped full of meds and scared every day. In 2018 I did a programme which helped me learn to heal my body and I had a marvellous few years of freedom. Then covid hit…Since I caught it I fell back into chronic illness patterns.

The good news is I’ve found a great doctor who has figured out what’s up! The not so good news is that treatment is unfunded and expensive. 18 months of fatigue and investing in other therapies has left me pretty darn broke, and my body needs to rest in order to recover. So I’m doing a brave and asking for help.
