Karen, a mum of 5, has lost her battle to cancer. Your generosity will help her husband and kids during this heartbreaking time.

In May 2024, our lovely friend Karen received the devastating and unexpected news that she had terminal cancer—a diagnosis that turned her and her young family’s world upside down. Karen was a mum to five children, with the two youngest being primary school age and her teenage son is high needs autistic. Sadly, on 22nd January 2025, Karen passed away. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond, to ask for support. The family has been so grateful and overwhelmed by the generosity shown through the Givealittle page already. If you are in a position to help and feel inclined to support the family as they navigate this tremendous loss, any financial donation would be immensely appreciated. These contributions will give Scott the flexibility to take time away from work, ensuring he can focus on supporting their kids in whatever ways they need most, during this challenging time.
Our thoughts and heartfelt support are with Scott and the kids. We hope to surround them with love and kindness, offering comfort in whatever small way we can. We also encourage Scott and the kids to use some of the funds raised to plan something fun for themselves this year. We know Karen would be so proud of them and would want them to take the time to spoil themselves and create fun memories together.
No matter the amount, your contribution will make a real difference. Thank you so much ❤️
Karen is my friend, a fellow school mum, and an all-round awesome human being. She is loved and respected by so many, and we want to do all we can to help her family.
Updated on 14/01: funds raised can contribute towards easing funeral costs, as well as allow Scott the flexibility to take as much time as he needs off work to be with Karen and their kids over this heartbreaking time.

Contributing to the overwhelming treatment costs (Gemcitibine and Abraxane), the funds raised will enable Karen, Scott, and the kids to spend quality time together as a family. This will give them the chance to create special memories during this heartbreaking time.
Rest in love, Karen xxx 26 January 2025
It is with a huge amount of sadness that I share the news of Karen’s passing. On Wednesday 22nd January, Karen passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She faced the greatest challenge of her life with remarkable grace, positivity, and always with a touch of humour.
Our thoughts and heartfelt support are with Scott and the kids during this incredibly difficult time. We hope to surround them with love and kindness, offering comfort in whatever small way we can.
