Reaching for the stars

Hamilton, Waikato

Hey Everyone Welcome to

my give a little page!

I'm Catherine, I'm 36 years old and live in beautiful Hamilton with my flatmate. I am disabled

I was born with deformed feet and a heart condition. Additionally 5 years ago I broke my right knee cap in half which required an operation. I now have wire wrapped around my right knee cap and have to use a walking stick to get out and about.

I can't cross roads on my own without having someone next to me to help and assist. I can't walk long distances without having my feet hurt or my right knee ache. I'm also unable to drive due to my knee and I can't catch a bus on my own (to be able to catch a bus into town one day on my own would be very cool) I recently have done volunteer work with Our Stronger together conference.

There I helped with a range of things. Including supporting the organisers I'm also apart of an awesome community group called Waikato Connect-Ability: we meet every 2nd Tuesday of each month to talk and share our ideas. I have also been attending courses and learning to be a peer supporter for our community.

Here is a bit about the
