Making the Days Count for Willow

  • Willow Update

      30 September 2026

    As per our previous update. Willows make a wish was cut short when she fell gravely ill. She battled for every breathe of the day for over two weeks before turning a corner and stabilising enough to be leave Dunedin hospital. Not to go home but to our local hospital icu. Closer to home but still so far away she continued to battle. Now discharged but with several weeks of recovery left ahead of her as she relearns how to eat and use her muscles.

  • Update on Willow

      12 September 2026

    Sadly our make a wish trip has not gone to plan with willow being flown to Dunedin in critical condition whilst we were touring the South Island. She is now stable but it is an indertermined time as to when we will be able to get home. Funds will help us continue to pay bills and cover cost from our extended time from home as she recovers.

  • Goal update

      2 August 2026

    We are blown far and away with the generosity of everyone who has donated so far. We are pleased to announce with your generosity, some serious saving and the help of make-a-wish the South Island trip of a lifetime will be happening.

    As such we are looking towards what’s next for willow. So funds raised from this point forward will go towards car alterations for when she gets her new power wheelchair and a horse float to take her and her special pony on adventures together as she loves to ride.
