See the attached official race result for the Sovereign TRI Series Tinman in Mt Maunganui yesterday.
- 11th in my age group with a time of 2hrs 49mins.
It was a VERY windy day which created choppy water conditions for the swim. As a result times were down a bit (slower). Apart from being battered about a bit by the waves, there was also a lot of salt-water taken on which created terrible cramping in the run. Nonetheless, I finished - determined to not let down the Children's Garden Orphanage in Manila, Philippines.

Triathlon this Sunday doubles as my Merv Raynor Memorial Triathlon in honour of Dad's athletic prowess that saw him complete 85 marathons/half marathons including sub 3-hr times (my target for the Olympic distance Tri). Dad passed away a few weeks ago, so this event will (hopefully) be a celebration of his athletic genes!
