I am a designer living in the beautiful town of Geraldine in New Zealand with my lovely wife and children.

Triathlon changed my life, quite literally...

In January 2013 I was involved in a major bus accident when a large group of us party-goers returned home from an event. The bus rolled and I was thrown from the bus unconscious. Miraculously, I survived and was overcome by the thought that I've been given a second chance at life. It changed my life forever.

I stopped drinking and started running. I started facing my fears and I started to improve the quality of my life.

A year later I qualified for the World Off-Road Triathlon Championships in Germany. I was able to turn my life around and compete in this championship by raising enough funds. Supporters, like yourself, helped get me to Germany.

I am truly passionate about Triathlon and my training reflects my resolve to join the best in the world. Although my dreams of becoming a professional are behind me, I have many other achievable dreams. Qualifying for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France is an incredible opportunity to race against the best triathletes in the world. But I also want to make my country proud and I want to inspire others to believe in themselves.

I want to inspire others to know they can go from rock bottom to on top of the world.
