Maria Gumaka's final wish to return Home to Rotorua, NZ

Tomorrow is never promised to anyone!

This is something our family have leant in these past few days. Tomorrow Wednesday 20 January 2021 our beautiful Aunty was booked to fly home to Rotorua. She has been battling lung cancer, depleting kidneys as well as other underlying illnesses. Amongst her strong fight she was trying her hardest to get well enough to return home. She was given approval to fly home and was informed there will be tests she needs to pass when the time comes close to flying out. Unfortunately upon completing these tests her results came back with gut wrenching news. Her lungs became very tired and pain was getting worse and worse. Her husband was told she can no longer fly home and she only has days to live. Her lungs took a turn for the worst and became too weak causing her other organs to slowly give up too. This was told to family on Thursday 14 January 2021 and Aunty passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning. Up until her final breath she thought she was going home! Her only wish was to go home and we would like to ask people to help us give her that wish <3
