    Hi kind donors,

I am glad to announced that Marites has completed her chemotheraphy sessions that lasted for 5 months. All your help and generous donations made it possible.

She had her evaluation by the oncologist (the result was disheartening) without saying further Marites needs to go through a 35 day radiation and then a double masectomy.

Even with the saddening result we are still hopeful she will pull through and have some few more years added to her to spend with her small children. She just hopes to get rid of the pain. She feels an excruciating pain every single day and it's awful to watch her go through it. The doctor said the radiation will take away the pain. She is very frail and weak at the moment. We give her lots of nutritious food and vitamins.

Again thank you all so much for all your help. It could have been worst without your lending hand. Whatever happens we know that a lot of people like you are here for us. Here's to hoping for the best.

    With much love and appreciation,

    Jay, Marites and family

  • Expression of gratitude and Update.

      8 July 2016

    Dear Donors,

To all of you donors, we the family of Marites wants to give you our heartfelt thanks. Remember your donations will go a long way in helping Marites for her treatment. Her kids will thank you in the future.

However, Marites condition has gone worse, the cancer has spread to her left arm causing it to be swollen. She is still waiting for more test to determine the kind of treatment she will get. The hospitals and doctors in the Philippines are very slow just like everything else, she needs urgent care because the kind of cancer that she has is very aggresive and its spreading very fast. Although we have collected almost 900 NZD, in reality this is far less than what she needs right now. They are very poor with no medical insurance. We are doing everything we can. This is a very tough time and hard to accept in our family. Lets all hope for the best. We all appreciate the help you have given to Marites.

    Wish you well

With so much love and gratitude,

Marites, the kids and her family.
