To raise money to help Mark, Kim and their family pay for expenses while they are away from home in Auckland Hospital.

Last week Mark was experiencing bad headaches and on Friday morning he had a rupture in his brain (brain aneurysm). He originally went to Kaitaia hospital in the ambulance and then was flown to Whangarei, then onto Auckland. On Friday night Mark had surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain and fought throughout the night to give us some signs that he was responsive. On Saturday he was looking, blinking and giving some facial expressions so the doctors decided to take him in for another surgery which stemmed the bleed. Mark is fighting hard and continues to make small but promising progress. This morning the doctors took out the breathing tube and he was able to whisper some words. Mark has a long road to recovery and people are asking what they can do to help so we have decided to set up this Give-A-Little page to try and take some financial pressure off Mark, Kim and their families. Every little bit helps and is very much appreciated.
We are family friends of Mark and Kims.
