Canterbury

Our colleague Mark Pearce passed away on Friday morning.

He was a man that we all greatly respected and and admired, and someone that everyone enjoyed working with/ He will be greatly missed by all of his colleagues and his family.

We have had numerous messages from people wanting to help the family in any way they can, and in order to help support his loved ones we have set up a donation site, where you can contribute financially if you wish. All funds would go straight to Mark’s family and they can use it as they see fit. This by no means make losing Mark any easier for them, but hopefully it helps his wife and daughter during this difficult period.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause. I enjoyed working with Mark, a really good, honest, genuine kiwi. He will be missed. My sympathies and thoughts are with his family
