  • Marlies's Courageous Battle ends

    It is with incredible sadness that we announce the devastating loss of our most precious Marlies. This horrible disease took away a truly beautiful strong and courageous young woman, she fought a tough battle against an incredibly aggressive cancer. Marlies never once complained about her fate. She spent her day's cramming as much love and fun in as she could. Her passing was pain free and peaceful.

    Thank you to everyone for your overwhelming and generous contributions which have gone a long way to support the family financially. A heartfelt Thank you to all for your generosity, support and kindness.

    From the Family: -

    We would like to thank everyone that has so generously donated to help us spend quality time with Marlies in the struggle against this horrible aggressive cancer Osteosarcoma.

    We have just returned home after five and a half weeks in hospital.

    Unfortunately Marlies's illness is now considered terminal. We do not know how much time we have with Marlies and we have so much to do to create happy memories with our beautiful daughter.

    Thank you so much everyone the support and generosity during such a difficult time is heartfelt and overwhelming."

  • Things can change so quickly

    From the discovery of further cancer in the lymph nodes in Marlies arm the conclusion is further treatment will be futile as the medical team believe the clot would also contain cancer cells. it may be a consideration to offer Marlies further chemo to give her a little more time,.
