Supporting the development of the Marshall Islands national football team.

Wellington

Kia ora, the Marshall Islands are among very few nations on earth to not have a recognised national football team. A small group of local and international volunteers are changing this, attempting to build a national team from the ground up. For a deeply proud people such as the Marshallese, having a national team competing on the regional and international stage provides an opportunity to showcase their culture, spirit and national character.

I have paid close attention to their progress, and as luck has it. I will be travelling to the Marshall Islands in August for work purposes and want to support their efforts best I can.

I have developed a relationship with the Marshall Islands F.A and spoken with them about what support they would like and what would be of value to them to progress their project. They have indicated they are in desperate need of:

- Soccer balls

- bibs

- cones

Having these valuable resources will enable the team to develop their ambitious programme of building a national team and eventual FIFA membership.

Should you wish to support, I encourage you to donate to lend your support to this awesome community building project in a place that the mainstream football economy too often forgets about

The Marshall Islands (RMI) is located in the western Pacific Ocean, halfway between Hawaii and Australia, north of the equator and west of the International Date Line. The population is approximately 42,000, with approximately 23,000 people living in the capital, Majuro.

Use of funds

The money will exclusively go towards purchasing training equipment in NZ such as bibs, Soccer balls and cones for training use to be taken over to the team.
