Mary-Jayne's Braces Fund

This year, in as little as four months from now, I am undergoing major surgery, known as SARPE: Surgically Assisted Rapid Palate Expansion.

This will ultimately create more room in my mouth for all my teeth, and then they will need to be straightened with adult braces for two years.

Since age 10, my dentists, orthodontists and I have noticed a narrowing of my upper palate that has grown noticeably worse over time.

This has severely impacted on my life, in terms of work, social life, mental health and confidence.

Due to the severity of my case, I have been given the opportunity to have this surgery publically funded by the public health system, which is incredible.

However, the braces that are fitted afterwards are not funded.

The deposit for the braces is $1500.

I would absolutely appreciate any help and support from friends and family to bring this dream to life.

I want to be able to smile and feel confident doing it. I've hidden my smile for over a decade now and to be able to do this means more than I could ever explain.
