My brother Mason James is currently ranked NZ1. It is his goal to represent Te Awamutu and New Zealand at the 2017 BMX World Championships.
Waikato
Mason is fifteen years old and has been racing BMX since he was seven. He has always been keen to represent New Zealand on the world stage. At the recent 2017 BMX National Championships he managed to win the NZ1 title, making him the back to back champion for his age group. This has put him in a great position to take on his next goal of competing at the 2017 BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA.
He has been working towards this goal for the past year with the support of his family, friends and coach. He has been training hard to develop his skills as a BMX rider and prepare for the biggest event in BMX.
At the end of 2016 Mason was one of four riders to make the New Zealand BMX Senior Development Team that travelled to Nerang, Australia. He has previously been a New Zealand Mighty 11 Team Member (2013). He also competed in the 2013 BMX World Championships (Auckland, New Zealand) where he placed 3rd.
As you know, trips like this come with a price tag and Mason's trip to Rock Hill, South Carolina is self funded. Therefore, myself, Mason and my family would be extremely grateful for any support towards helping my super cool brother complete this trip of a lifetime.
As Mason's sister I'm keen to do whatever I can to help him achieve his goals!
All funds raised will go towards flights, accomodation, event entry and other associated costs.
