Matt is alone - please help bring him home

Matt needs our support.

Matt has been living and teaching abroad for 15+ years. He has spent most of his years in Thailand where he met his beautiful wife, Salina, and together they have Namatahi who turned 3yo in January.

During COVID, Salina lost her job and had to move back to China with Namatahi.

In the past month, Matt has since been diagnosed with bowel cancer and while Salina, his brother Ariki and whanau in Kaikohe were trying to work closely with the embassy and NZ government, Matt's health deteriorated. He is in Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok and is now awake and slowly on the mend.

Salina his wife is stuck in China and trying to support as much as she can. There will be mounting expenses and stress for all during this time while whanau work to get Matt home once he is well enough to travel.

I am sure that you all understand how hard it must be for Matt being alone in Thailand and his wife and son in another country and cannot get to him.

The funds raised will go directly to Salina and Namatahi through Paypal. The donations will be in NZ currency and will convert to Thailand baht. From there she will dispense as required.

I know through posts I have read that you all are sending your well wishes and aroha. Please dig deep and give what you can to help get this Matelot on the mend and home.
