The Colliseum

Built in 1923, the Coliseum initially had a seating capacity of over 100,000, thus making it one of the largest outdoor arenas on the West Coast. In 1932 the Coliseum hosted the Summer Olympics, and has since been the site of several major sporting events, including the 1984 Summer Olympics, Super Bowls I and VII, it even hosted the 1959 World Series in which the newly arrived Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox. Today the Coliseum is home to the USC Trojans football team, and regularly draws capacity crowds of over 90,000
