Hi, I'm Matthew Battley, and I'm an avid mountain, trail and road runner. When I'm not running I'm studying a BE(Hons)/BSc at the University of Auckland.

I have been selected to be part of the NZ team at the 2017 World Mountain Running Champs in Italy. This event takes places on the 30th July and it will be my first year attending the World Mountain Running Champs. I hope to represent New Zealand to the best of my ability, and am aiming for a top 10 finish in the Senior Men age group.

As this event is fully self-funded and I am still studying at University, I would really appreciate your help in being able to afford to compete.

Use of funds

All funds raised will go towards airfares to Italy, accommodation and race related costs.
