KIT MATTHEW OUT FOR SYDNEY 2015
Canterbury
An ace friend suggested we try this when I told her the cost involved in Matthew's adventure. There is no price on what we would pay for this opportunity given the hurdles he has leaped in his life. But it is a fair heap of moola to find in a short time.
Following success in regional and national competition Matthew 16years old, who lives in Timaru, has been selected to represent New Zealand at Sydney Cadet Championships 2015 . Those who know Matthew know what a particularly great achievement this is.In his early years he needed, among other things, regular physio and OT.He never gives in and has shown great spirit and determination,he is also a truly nice individual.
We need to get him kitted out for the big event.
His flights, accommodation and NZ tracksuit we and he has paid.He works at Performance Training Gym after school and he is putting this money towards this.
The kit he has is only suitable for local and some national competitions. The higher the competition the greater the safety level of clothing and weapons!
This is what he needs as Quoted by company-
As a rough guide to price you would need 2x FIE epees at approx $320 each, the mask approx $380, plastron $190-200, and if we order in a jacket and breeches that would be about $340 and $240 respectively.
Any help towards this would be amazing and so motivating for him :)
Parents-My wife Jo and I are both nurses locally
