Bay of Plenty Table Tennis

Bay of Plenty, Tauranga City

Max will be representing New Zealand in the Senior Men’s Team World Team Championships. The event takes place in South Korea from 16 Feb - 25 Feb 2024 and this will be his first international competition as a national Men's Team player. He is looking forward to the challenge!

He started his Table Tennis journey at Tauranga Intermediate School, where he played his first competition at the Aims Games. Max has been involved with Table Tennis in the Bay of Plenty as both a competitor and a coach working with youth players and athletes with disabilities.

Max is studying at the University of Waikato, Hamilton and training at Tornado Table Tennis in the North Shore. This combination has been working well as he won Gold Medals at U-21 National Singles and Oceania Doubles events in 2023.
