Medical Mystery

My whole life I was barely sick. I never used recreational drugs, smoke and rarely drank. I went to the doctors just for routine and ordinary claims that had nothing of scary or mysterious.

My good luck with health ended in February 2018 when I ended up in hospital with a series of seemingly unrelated symptoms.

I was admitted in the hospital for one day and they discharged me when they didn't find anything "major" going on. The doctors said they didn't know what was happening. In my mind, they would try to find the cause for it, but to my surprise, no one took interest.

A whole year of suffering with my symptoms continued until I could gather some money to go to a private internal medicine specialist. The doctor then did find an infection in my stomach. They treated it and I thought I would finally get better. I didn't.

Since then, my symptoms get strong and weak, but never disappear. I had three other hospital visits where exams show small variances that are disconnected and don't make sense to anyone, not to mention many GP visits. No one seems to know what is happening and why.

They have partially investigated and ruled out some parts of it, but I can't afford to do expensive scans or to do specific tests that might be relevant to my case. I don't have health insurance and because my first hospital visit was inconclusive, now I am uninsurable.

At the moment, I'm struck suffering with something that no one seems to know what it is. I'm paying everything myself and I am poor. I do not own a house or a car. I am a modest person.

I have been progressively worse and it seems that food is the problem. I am 36 and I had never had any food related problems before this.

Therefore, I would like to get better and I require assistance to pay for medical exams and specialists. My objective is not only to cure what I have, but also to discover and uncover this disease for everyone else that might be suffering from it and doesn't seem to find an answer.

I am committed to publish articles if the answer is found or to be the subject of tests from professional and caring medical doctors willing to investigate the issue free of charge. The money raised will be used for medical expenses and specialists. I am also open if a hospital is willing to do a case study on me to find out what is wrong without charge.

Once again, more than just worrying about me, I would like to make whatever this is know to people in order to help others with similar symptoms and finally alleviate their mind with a diagnosis. This would help the medical community to share knowledge about this and be quick to act when a progression of symptoms is similar.

The worst part seem to be not knowing. It does makes me scared and sad. Although I still have hope I can find a cause and treatment. It's been almost two years now and it has affected my life significantly. I can't continue suffering with this.

So, I need your help. I truly appreciate any help given and hope I can get better and create awareness of my condition to the medical community and to the world.
